Are Fusion5 Tablets Any Good?

The Fusion5 brand of tablets have been gaining in popularity and reputation for a few years now. They are extremely popular in the UK, and getting more known world-wide year after year. In America they are not as well known. Don't get me wrong, they are available for sale in the USA, Canada, and various European countries, and they do sell fairly well there. Buyers generally leave good reviews also. But compared to the UK the brand has some catching up to do when it comes to marketing their products in America and Canada.

One of the reasons Fusion5 is so well known in the UK is down to their large product range of Android and Windows 10 based devices, affordable prices, very good quality for the price point, and an excellent returns policy. Within the cheaper price ranges there are so many new tablet brands hitting the online stores. Most of them are made in China, and unless you come across a company that takes some pride in what they sell, rather than just thinking about maximum profit in the smallest possible time frame, chances are you get a lot of products in the marketplace that don't last too long.

Check out the countless amount of reviews for the cheaper tablets to see proof of this. So many of those reviews are negative, and that's down to mickey mouse company's not caring about what they sell to customers as long as the short term profit margins are attractive enough for a quick money grab. After all the bad reviews start to materialise they quickly shut up shop, place no new orders to their manufacturer in China, and the product quickly becomes discontinued on outlets like Amazon. With a bit of experience you'll be able to spot companies / products like this without much effort.

However, their are some brands that do take more care in sourcing their products, making sure the quality is kept to a high standard. Fusion5, among others, is one of them. For these brands, of course profit has to come into play, they are running a business after all. But they don't sacrifice the product in order to make a few more pounds on each item. They are thinking more long term and actually want to build a successful business.

To do this you have to put the customer first. Making sure that quality control and high quality components are used in the products. Fusion5 have refined this process within the last few years. And they have improved the quality and reliability of their products as time has gone by. Yes, there are still some bad reviews, no product is perfect 100% of the time. But their positive reviews far outweigh the negative. Remember: There's even some bad reviews for the top of the range Apple iPad's and Samsung S2's.

Their closest competitor at the same price point is Neocore. Both brands have a really nice range of different tablets to choose from. They also offer excellent value for money, and really impressive returns / warranties. Other brands / alternatives worth considering other than Neocore, are Linx, Time2, and Yuntab. Although Yuntab and Time2 do have a little catching up to do, and Linx tablets are usually a bit more expensive. However, Linx do have some pretty good Windows 10 based tablets that are well worth the money.

A quick update to this post. Fusion5 continue to expand their product range, and at the same time retain their impressive customer review scores across their many tablet models. And since writing this post, where at the beginning I said Fusion5 were available in the USA and Canada but were not very well known, they are now more established. And the reviews are pretty good. For some reason the review scores across the models listed on Amazon.com are not as high as they are on Amazon UK. There's not much difference, and the common score in the US is between 4 and 5 stars. So still very good. Someone asked: "Can you use a stylus on the fusion5 tablet?"

Beings as all tablets these days are touch screen technically yes, you can use a stylus on a Fusion5 tablet. However, I would say, the thicker the stylus nib (the end that touches the screen) the better the responsiveness will be from each touch. As in, each press resulting in a successful click (touch).

A good cheap universal stylus to look out for is the one made by OrganicGuru®.

Obviously for drawing / graphics related tasks you will need a pen with a much thinner / refined tip / nib.
