This is a tablet / laptop hybrid. It can be used with or without the keyboard (usually included). I say usually included because some sellers sell the IROPRO® with the keyboard bundle, but some don't. So be sure to ask first to avoid disappointment. All is not lost if you get one that does not come with a keyboard as they can be picked up very cheap.
Good Points
The IROPRO® has almost everything you would expect it to have where specification is concerned. Good build quality, a very nice 10.1 Inch 1280 x 800 IPS screen, Quad Core Z3735G Processor (Intel BayTrail), 1GB RAM, 16GB Internal storage, mini HDMI port, Mini USB port, Dual cameras (basic quality), WiFi, Bluetooth, headphone jack and a micro SD slot. It's overall performance is pretty good if you intend on doing mostly run of the mill tasks (the usual stuff).
Of course, running programs like MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel are what this machine is great a doing. Internet browsing is also hassle free. The WiFi appears to be strong. Gaming and video playback / streaming, although still decent, are not it's strongest points and should be done with moderation in mind, with minimum programs running at the same time.
This IROPRO® does have a respectable Graphics Processor, and this does help things run "smoother". But 1GB RAM to run Windows 10 is a little on the low side. Windows 10 is quite a needy, resource hungry operating system, and 2GB RAM is considered the lowest amount needed to ensure a smooth sailing ship. So with just 1GB RAM this machine is not really achieving its full potential. However, it does still have a good enough specification to provide a pleasant user experience providing you get a tablet which has no underlying issues to begin with. I say this because some buyers have reported a number of problems / issues with their IROPRO®, and it would be unfair not to mention some of these problems so that potential buyers know what to be aware of.
Please be aware that tablets of all brands and sizes can have problems. Go and read some of the reviews for some of the best out there are you will find some disgruntled customers who say its totally rubbish. Even though, as a whole, it's one of the best devices out there. Fair enough, with the much more expensive tablets the problems will be less frequent, but they are never completely eradicated.
Base / Burst Processor
The Processor in the IROPRO® has a variable speed. Some customers have been confused by this and actually unfairly brought up this issue as if they were told misleading information. But this isn't the case. Perhaps it was worded wrong in the sellers product listing. But a varied processor consists of multiple speeds within a certain range. The Z3735G in this IROPRO® operates at a base speed of 1.3GHz, and goes up to 1.83GHz (Burst). This means that it can operate at a higher rate for when resources get stretched.
Anything in between these speeds is fine, and is completely dependant on what resources the machine is using up at the time. The readout will differ to reflect what is running. So if you have less programs running the GHz will be lower. If you have a heavy game or HD movie playing, with numerous other programs open like Word and Excel, that number will be higher to cater for the extra processing power needed for things to remain stable and trouble free. It sends in for the big guns so to speak.
Problems
As mentioned above about the lack of RAM, some users are finding it to be a real problem where performance is concerned, saying that CPU usage is close to full percentage when there's close to no programs running other than Windows itself. It's a power hungry monster! As a result the device is slow and sluggish and leaves some users very annoyed. Resetting the tablet also seems to be riddled with problems. Many reports of IROPRO's becoming unusable after being reset, or not even being able to successfully get through the reset process. Excessive battery drain has also been reported, as well as many instances of the device constantly seizing / locking up. The charger which comes with the IROPRO® also seems to be of cheap quality, with some users experiencing total failure within a short period of time.
The Keyboard (if it comes with one) does not seem to have the best connectivity to the tablet. It attaches by magnets so isn't the most secure connection out there. Whatever the problem with this model, the underlying issue with the big majority of them seems to be the quality of components / hardware used. The IROPRO® is not a bad device if you end up getting one with zero issues. However, I would most probably go with a Linx if you want a Windows based device. They are not perfect but do appear to have the better track record with Windows based tablet hybrids. Just don't buy the 12V32 or 12V64 as they seem to be on the receiving end of some seriously bad reviews at the moment.
